BAIT follows two outcast teenagers from North London as they embark on a perilous mission to catfish and extort money from ISIS, until their deceptive game spirals into a web of deception forcing them to confront the consequences of their audacious plan. 

Six months after Kayra’s older brother goes missing, her life unravels. Convinced that he joined ISIS and desperate for answers, Kayra hatches a daring plan with her best friend, Bex to catfish unsuspecting ISIS members by posing as potential Jihadi Brides seeking money for a journey to Syria. As the dangerous dare unfolds, it gains momentum and the blurred lines between truth and lies push the duo into unexpected and perilous territory.  

While the fear of recruitment, crime and danger of ISIS loom in the background of this series, the core of it is about comic coming-of-age friendships, peer pressure and generational immigrant family dynamics.
